Movie snapshots from Scene 2. By frame 3700 the MRI has begun to saturate and the accretion rate reaches a quasi-stationary state. At frame 4050 the jet and counter-jet have propagated further away from the black hole and reached the boundary of our simulation domain. Due to the steadier accretion rate, by frame 4400 the central region surrounding the event horizon becomes cooler and more optically thin. The upper-half of the black-hole shadow is now visible
