The SHIVA code workflow. The code uses a co-moving (Lagrangian) coordinate system, such that all physical variables (luminosity, L, velocity, u, distance to the stellar center, r, density, ρ, temperature, T, pressure, P, internal energy, E, artificial viscosity, q, mass fractions, X, opacity, k, and energy generation rate, ϵ) are evaluated in a number of grid points directly attached to the fluid (see Refs.
